Is LTT Leathercare?

LTT Leathercare is the domestic and auto services branch of LTT Ltd.
LTT Ltd (Leather Training & Technical Dept Ltd.) is the largest leather training provider to the furniture and cleaning industries in the UK.
LTT was original formed to service the needs of the furniture industry by providing better trained service technicians to cope with the massive increase in the percentage of leather furniture on sale towards the end of the ‘90s.

Are LTT Leathercare?

LTT Leathercare are a small company with a worldwide reputation.

Judy Bass our business Director is committed to ensuring that Products are matched to problems and that correct information and help is available to all our customers. 10 years in an upholstery business and 3 years in the clothing industry prior to forming LTT ensures a good background in the areas of interest to our customers.
                                   
Andy Alcock, Senior Trainer / Technical Director left teaching in 1979 to enter the furniture industry. After 10 years in cabinet and upholstery work, leather furniture became more in demand and has been his main area of work since the ‘90s. He has worked, taught and learnt on several continents and at present is the only qualified IICRC (LCT) instructor outside the USA.

LTT Leathercare make their own products?

No. We do not pretend to be chemists. LTT are specialists in how products are used and work best on the diverse range of leather finishes on the market today. How a product is used is as important as the product itself. Either, product or process, if incorrectly chosen has the potential to damage leather. We have a saying in our Training Room: Product, Process…Preparation, Practice – each has equal importance.

Do LTT Leathercare source their products?

The majority* of LTT Leathercare product is sourced from one manufacture who have an international reputation for quality and innovation in the fabric and leather cleaning and restoration industry.           
Once a product has been designed, sampled and laboratory tested it is put out to specialist work shops, like our own, across Europe to be tested by technicians who understand the applications and use of products in the field.        
Only when a product has been through this double testing will it be considered for production. More products are archived for re–engineering than put into the marketplace.

*Our manufacturer acknowledges that it is not an expert in every area. Adhesives for instance are a specialist area they are not involved in, so we source our Leather Glue from a different specialist supplier.

We buy LTT Leathercare products from other suppliers?

LTT Leathercare are the sole U.K Distributor of “SitFix” Products. We allow certain other suppliers to stock our products and many individual cleaners and technicians may carry stock for sale. If you are unsure whether the product is genuine please ring in with details. Prices across the U.K will be fairly consistent apart from occasional special offers.
